Tie-dying is a traditional hand-dying process used on fabrics to apply dye and its auxiliary materials. The fabrics are tied securely with string before being submerged in the dye bath, or the dyes are poured in a way that prevents the colors from penetrating the tied areas, known as resisting.
The technique known as batik (Adire/Uli) involves drawing Adire/Uli symbols on fabric with candle or honey bee wax, producing a stunning result upon final dying. Batik painting is painting with dye and wax. We are certified for this method
